I am a strong believer in the idiom ‘whatever doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger’.

In my real darkest days of determined self-destruction, I lived a life of extremes. I saw first hand the best and worst the world has to offer and although I suffered immensely during this time, I would never take it back.

I always say I am wise because I have made a lot of mistakes. With careful reflection, your previous failings can give you insight that successes can’t. I feel like I received a crash course in life that I was fortunate enough to come out the other end of. Now, there are few things that I couldn’t give first-hand advice to my children on.

For that I am thankful.
